This is an extension of the 15km Mawddach Trail that turns it into a circular 23km route. With a high point of 5oom there will be some climbing but the view are worth it. This would suit a keener rider or somebody with more time so you could make a day of it. The Mawddach estuary section is virtually traffic free and the Cregennen Lakes section is on quieter roads with a nice descent back to the valley floor.
The trail starts at the market town of Dolgellau or you could do it from our Coed-y-Brenin venue at Llanelltyd – BOOK ON-LINE today.
Bit of a steep climb out of Dollgellau which eventually flattens out below Cadir Idris before sendign you down a steep road back to the valley floor. The return leg is essentially flat trail with a fairly even surface and mostly 3 meters wide that whisks you up the Mawddach estuary back to Dolgellau.
