This mountain bike route in North Wales is a quick loop that can be done in a couple of hours, perfect for a Friday evening or short Sunday morning ride. It’s basically an up and down trail with a great descent to finish on!
Best done from Llandrillo or from our venue at Berwyn Hills.
Bit of road to warm up on as you climb out of Llandrillo which gets steeper and then take you through a gate and onto a dirt track. The climbing continues until you hit the B4391, make sure you stop and take in the view across Bala and Snowdonia it’s pretty impressive.
Hang a left on the road and continue to climb, you drop down a bit but then climb back up again. Bit annoying but almost over as you reach the brow. Hang a left onto the rocky path and climb a little bit more then it’s time to go down.
This is it, this is why you just climbed for what seems like forever. This descents gets better and better; rocky to begin with and then fast and fluid to finish with a river crossing. Simply brilliant.
Once done it’s a simple cruise on the road back to Llandrillo.
