This mountain bike route in the Yorkshire Dales is classed as a blue trail. It’s not too technical but has a big climb and a big fast descent to finish on. So hold on tight and enjoy!
Kilnsey is the obvious start point, there is a cafe here as well so great for refreshments afterwards.
From Kilnsey head south on the road towards Grassington, then just before you come into Threshfield hang a right and head west. Follow the road to turning left then right and continue to head east.
The road gives way to a stone track now as you begin the climb which eventually turns to grass before you join the road. At the road turn left and head west. When the road stops turn right heading north to Marstile Gate then turn right for the last climb of the day.
From the top of here you can see quite a lot of the Dales as the trail plunges down back into Kilnsey. It’s really wide but a bit rough in places to keep you speed under control and go for it! You’ll soon be back at Kilnsey and if you timed it right be able to get some tea and cake form the cafe!
